Tuition (per student)

20% discount for each additional family member.

Payments may be made with cash, check or credit card. Checks are payable to Petra Ballet Company.
Tuition is due by the 10th of each month.
A late fee of $10 will be applied to payments received after the 10th of the month unless previous arrangements have been made.
A fee of $20 will be charged for returned checks.
No refunds nor carry over to the following month’s tuition for missed classes.

Class Policy

Classes meet weekly at 1711 W. Battlefield, Suite U Springfield, MO 65807.
Each student’s placement is based on individual ability. While age provides a basic guideline, technique levels will be determined and assigned by the instructor.
Missed classes may be made up by attending an additional make up class assigned by the instructor.
In case of inclement weather, classes may be canceled when Springfield Public Schools are canceled. Each cancellation is case by case.
While no refunds will be given, extra make up classes may be scheduled due to cancellations made by Petra School of the Arts.

Attire

Thank you for choosing modest and appropriate dancewear for all classes.

Attire For Girls

Leotard: Each ballet level has a specific leotard color. Please see the assigned color for your class. All approved leotards in the dress code can be purchased at the Petra Studio. The last week of each month is a “free week” and students may wear solid leotards of any color. Skirts may be worn for pointe class. Black wrap skirts are optional for Ballet 4-6.

Leotard Colors:

Creative Movement – White
Beginning Ballet – Pink
Ballet 1 – Sky Blue
Ballet 2 – Lavender
Ballet 3 – Mulberry
Ballet 4 – Red
Ballet 5 – Royal Blue
Ballet 6 – Burgundy

Classes other than ballet may wear solid leotards of any color and fitted shorts. Comfortable fitness clothing may be worn over leotard for Hip Hop.

Tights: Pink footed tights (convertible tights are acceptable). No underwear please.

Shoes:

Ballet – Pink ballet shoes with sewn elastic
Pointe – Pointe shoes must have sewn ribbons and elastic
Tap – Black tap shoes
Jazz – Black jazz shoes
Hip Hop – Tennis Shoes
Contemporary, Conditioning, and African – Barefoot

Hair: Hair should be pulled back neatly in a high or low bun for all classes. Short hair may be pinned back from the face. Neat ponytails are acceptable for African and Hip Hop.

Teen/Adult Ballet:

Black leotard, pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes. Skirt or shorts may be worn over leotard. Hair should be pulled back neatly in a high or low bun.

Attire For Boys

Pants: Black knee length shorts or fitted sweatpants.

Shirt: Plain white T-Shirt

Shoes: Black ballet shoes with sewn elastics or jazz shoes

Street clothes may be worn for Hip Hop.
