20% discount for each additional family member

  • Tuition is automatically withdrawn on the 1st of each month regardless of attendance.
  • Additional fees (performance fees, costume fees, etc.) will be automatically withdrawn from the student’s account on the corresponding due date.
  • Checks are payable to Petra Ballet Company. A fee of $20 will be charged for returned checks.
  • No refunds will be provided for missed classes, tuition fees, ticket sales or merchandise.
  • All tuition and fees must be up to date and paid in full to participate in performances.

Class Policy

  • Classes meet weekly at 1711 W. Battlefield, Suite U Springfield, MO 65807.
  • Each student’s placement is based on individual ability. While age provides a basic guideline, technique levels will be determined and assigned by the instructor/director.
  • Missed classes may be made up by scheduling a make up class through the school administrator. All missed classes must be made up within the same semester.
  • In case of inclement weather, PBSA classes often follow the Springfield Public Schools cancellations. Each situation will be taken case by case and announced through email and social media.  While no refunds will be given, extra make up classes may be scheduled due to cancelations made by Petra School of the Arts.

Thank you for choosing modest and appropriate dancewear for all classes.

Attire For Girls

Leotard:   Leotard colors are assigned per level. All leotards must be purchased through Petra Ballet Company and follow the studio dress code. 

  • Creative Movement – Marine
  • Beginning Ballet – Pink
  • Ballet 1 – Sky Blue
  • Ballet 2 – Lavender
  • Ballet 3 – Mulberry
  • Ballet 4 – Red
  • Ballet 5 – Royal Blue
  • Ballet 6 – Burgundy
  • Ballet 7 – Teal

Tights:   Pink footed or convertible tights must be worn for all classes. 

Shoes:

  • Ballet – Pink ballet shoes with sewn elastic
  • Pointe – Pointe shoes must have sewn ribbons and elastic
  • Contemporary – Barefoot
  • Conditioning – Barefoot
  • Tap – Black tap shoes
  • Jazz – Black jazz shoes
  • Hip Hop – Tennis shoes

Hair:   Hair should be pulled back neatly in a high or low bun for all classes. Short hair must be pinned back from the face. 

 
Black wrap skirts may be worn during technique and pointe classes for Levels 3-7.
Black shorts should be worn for contemporary classes.
Attire For Boys

Pants:   Black knee length shorts or black fitted sweatpants

Shirt:   Plain white T-Shirt

Shoes:   Black ballet shoes with sewn elastic

Street clothes may be worn for Hip Hop.
